Naturals - Fine Art Textures

5.00 25.00

The Fine Art Texture collections I create are full of beautiful details and subtle colours. Perfect for adding interest and turning your photos into art. Most of the textures I collect are created from natural elements, material, stone etc. My Fine Art Textures are perfect for pushing the boundaries of your photography helping you create something uniquely yours.

By setting the textures to Overlay or Soft light in Photoshop you can add texture and depth to your images. Try experimenting with different Blend Modes and add layer masks to remove elements.

My Textures and Overlays are compatible with a wide range of products. They consist of Jpeg files which you layer on top of your photo changing the blending mode to create all sorts of beautiful effects. You can use textures in any program that allows for layers including: Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom (with the use of a plug-in such as Topaz Texture Effects or On1), Gimp, and more.

Once you make your purchase – you will find you download file ready for you to download as a zip file download. Once you download your file – you will need to unzip the file and extract your textures. You will then save your textures on your computer somewhere you can locate them later. (I typically have mine filed in a file called “textures”.)

*These are not Actions/Presets. You will not install them into your program.

How to use textures:

Open the Photo you want to use and process it any way you’d like.

Then you can add your texture or Overlay to the layer above your edited photo. You can then change your blending mode to screen (or experiment and try different blending modes like overlay, softlight, etc..). Generally if it is an overlay you can use Screen to knock out the blacks and Multiply to knock out the whites

You can then add a layer mask to brush off the textures or overlay from your subject, as desired - watch the video below.
