I've been involved in Julie's photography community for many years and can honestly say I wouldn't be the photographer I am today without the knowledge, encouragement and opportunities she has provided along the way.
I've completed many photography courses over the years, but Julie's online courses stand out for their depth, detail and quality of instruction. They are challenging in all the right ways, pushing you outside your comfort zone while providing clear explanations and valuable learning opportunities every step of the way.
The photography workshops are always a highlight. They give you the chance to try something new, create alongside fellow photographers and, most importantly, have fun while learning. The themed portrait shoots have been instrumental in helping me expand my skills and knowledge. Working with models, learning about lighting and direction, and developing confidence in a creative environment has been invaluable. I was quite nervous when I first started, but not anymore! These shoots are fabulous opportunities to experiment, learn and grow as a photographer.
I've also thoroughly enjoyed Julie's private mentoring sessions. Learning flash photography in a one-on-one setting, working directly with a model, and being encouraged to think outside the box has helped me develop both technically and creatively. One session that stands out was a recent shoot with Emily, where we wrapped her in brown paper and packaging materials to create something completely different. Julie gave me the freedom and confidence to explore my own ideas, and the results were amazing.
Julie’s blog posts are another fantastic resource. No matter your level of experience, there are always little nuggets of wisdom and inspiration to take away and apply to your own photography.
What I love most is the variety of opportunities available. Whether it's courses, workshops, portrait shoots, mentoring sessions or blog content, there's always something new to learn and enjoy. Julie creates a supportive environment that encourages creativity, growth and confidence. I am incredibly grateful for everything I've learned over the years and highly recommend her to anyone looking to develop their photography skills.

For me, learning something completely new, I really love seeing how the images are treated in the editing software. Because you can take a good photograph to great or vice versa with how it is edited.
Always happy to get freebies tho! But being a visual learner, the layout and manor the course is delivered in, also helps. And your courses, both I'm doing, have beautiful pictures, clear instruction and are visual feast for the eyes. I can tell you have put a lot of work into it, it really does show. Its apparent right throughout your classes AND your website.

As a landscape and people photographer, i have always been curious about food and still life photography. Julie's website is simply beautiful that captures the light and the images looks peaceful, moody and romantic. I have gone to two of Julie's workshops and am halfway through her online courses. I highly recommend these. The workshops are fun and relaxing. Julie knows her subject matter and does not get too technical. I am grateful for Julies work as they have paved the way for my style and interest. So reader, have a look at Julie's classes and enjoy.

Julie, thank you for introducing me to this fabulous genre of photography. The 'For The Love Of Food' on-line course is fantastic. I love the challenges (my Sunday afternoons 'me time') that get me out of my comfort zone and thinking about different ways to photograph food. The 'bite-size' sessions are perfect, the information provided, tips, recipes and videos are inspiring and extremely helpful. This is one genre that I will happily continue on with.

“Over the past few years, I have been trying to learn light painting. I found a few tutorials but I couldn’t quite get it and got frustrated and stopped trying. I was searching the Web, and came across Julie’s beautiful photos so I looked for her website and saw that she had a class on Light Painting. Her class was very easy to understand as she gives so much information with videos and written instructions. This is just what I needed and I was able get the results that I was looking for. I am so happy I found Julie and look forward to continuing my education with her.”

I’ve done a Dark and Moody still life course with Julie and it was awesome. Small-sized group and excellent props and advice. I was a bit nervous about attending but Julie is welcoming and very professional. I learnt so much, cannot wait until I can do another one. Highly recommend.

I have thoroughly enjoyed learning, exploring and challenging myself with 'still life' photography. It is something I had dabbled in a little bit during 2018 and before starting the 12 week course.
The weekly challenges have been fantastic and seeing other's interpretation of each theme has provided me with a lot of inspiration.
Thank you for providing me with this awesome opportunity, your videos and guidance has been very valuable, and I really look forward to seeing what you bring next year.
