Every summer, we return to the cherry trees. Not because we have to, but because it feels right.
This shoot has become a quiet tradition, a way to mark the season and slow things down after a busy year. It’s light-hearted, playful and intentionally simple. Natural light filtering through the leaves, the rich reds of ripe cherries, soft summer dresses and moments that unfold without being forced.
Photographed on location during cherry season, this series is about capturing a feeling rather than a pose. The warmth of summer, the joy of small rituals and the beauty of returning to a place that holds memories. They are almost casual, candid, natural photos. Just a conversation between me, Nicola and my camera.
Sometimes the best creative projects are the ones you revisit, year after year. It’s such a lovely way to finish off the year. Oh, and the cherries are so good!
