It's back for another year the Dark and Moody Still Life Workshop!

Learn from Internationally award-winning digital artist and photographer Julie Powell, creating gorgeous Still Life Photography in both Natural Light and Artificial Light. 

The Dark & Moody Still Life Workshop includes both Still Life photography. The "Dark & Moody" theme allows us to focus on and create stunning images, we will be working with small and intimate subjects from sumptuous fruit and gorgeous flowers. All items for subject, props, lighting and staging are supplied, you only need your camera gear.

This Workshop will cover the basics in lighting, staging, camera settings and best practices for Still Life with topics discussed:

• Dark and Moody - adding atmosphere

• Get off Auto - get confident in Manual and Aperture Priority Modes 

• Artificial & Subtle Natural Lighting - learn to harness the light

• Stills in Action

Requirements:

• DSLR camera or Mirrorless camera, as long as you can change lenses. Also, bringing your manual is a good idea if you aren't overly familiar with your camera.

• a 35-50mm lens or 24-70mm is suitable 

• tripod

• remote shutter release (wireless or cabled)

• spare battery

• SD Cards.

This is a three-hour workshop, limited to 6 people so that we can all get very hands-on.
