Something wicked is coming to Frankston… 🎃
Join me at Slowburn Studio, Frankston on Sunday 25th October 2026 for Elvira’s Halloween Creature Feature Photoshoot, an afternoon of spooky, creepy, camp and completely over-the-top creative portrait photography.
Our hostess for the afternoon is the fabulous Skye Medusa @thetattooedshowgirl, bringing all the attitude, glamour and outrageous fun of an Elvira-inspired late-night horror hostess.
But Elvira won't be alone.
We’re assembling a wonderfully weird collection of characters for you to photograph, including a glamorous Vampiress, ghostly supernatural horror, classic creature-feature characters and more.
Think dramatic sets, atmospheric lighting, fog, candlelight, gothic glamour, horror-movie styling and plenty of opportunities to create images that are completely different from your everyday portraits.
What to expect
Minimum five professional models/characters
Multiple Halloween and creature-inspired looks
Elaborately styled sets and props
Cinematic constant lighting
Small shooting groups for plenty of camera time
Opportunities to create both full environmental portraits and tighter character studies
A relaxed atmosphere where you're encouraged to experiment and have fun
This isn't about standing in a line and taking the same photograph as everybody else. You'll be encouraged to work with the models, change your angles, direct poses and create images that feel like your photographs.

What to bring
Bring your:
Camera
Charged battery
SD/memory cards
Portrait lens, something around 50mm or 85mm is ideal
Standard zoom, such as a 24–70mm, is also a great choice
We’ll be working primarily with constant lighting, but feel free to bring flash equipment.
