Futuristic Portrait & Creative Lighting Workshop

Step into a world of glowing colour, shimmering reflections, and futuristic portraiture in this brand-new hands-on creative photography workshop.

Inspired by the recent Crystal Blue concept shoot with the incredible Emily Reinhard and the artistry of Jolie’s Makeup Artistry, this session is all about learning how to create striking, cinematic portraits using creative lighting techniques, reflective surfaces, colour, and atmosphere.

Think glowing skin, metallic textures, sparkling highlights, dreamy bokeh, and bold colour combinations that feel straight out of a sci-fi film or futuristic fashion editorial.

This is a small-group, hands-on workshop designed for photographers who want to:

  • Learn how to shape and control coloured light

  • Work with RGB LED lighting creatively

  • Explore reflective materials and textures

  • Build stronger portrait composition and direction

  • Create unique images straight out of camera

  • Add atmosphere and mood without complicated setups

You’ll rotate through setups and have opportunities to shoot, experiment, ask questions, and refine your images throughout the session.

We’ll also discuss:

  • Lighting placement and colour combinations

  • Working with reflective surfaces without creating chaos (foil has opinions, just saying)

  • Posing and directing for futuristic concepts

  • Lens choices and depth of field

  • Creating dreamy bokeh and flare effects

  • Balancing highlights and skin tones in coloured light

Professional model Emily Reinhard will be styled with futuristic makeup and creative concepts by Jolie’s Makeup Artistry, giving attendees access to a polished, editorial-style shoot experience.
