The 5DayDeal Photography Giveaway: What It Is and How to Enter.
If you enjoy photography, learning something new or finding a little creative inspiration, here's something to take a look at. The 2026 5DayDeal Photography Giveaway is now open, and it's free to enter.
But if you've never come across 5DayDeal before, you might be wondering what it actually is. Is it a competition? A photography course? A sale?
There are two separate things happening: a free giveaway, followed by a limited-time photography bundle event. Here's how they fit together.
What is 5DayDeal?
5DayDeal brings together photography educators and creators to offer a collection of learning resources and creative tools in a bundle, available to buy during a short sales event.
Rather than purchasing each included resource separately, you can explore the different bundle options and see whether one suits your interests and budget. Part of each sale also supports charity.
I'll share more about this year's contents and pricing when pre-orders open. For now, we're starting with the giveaway, which is separate from buying a bundle.
What is the photography giveaway?
The giveaway is a free opportunity to enter for a chance to win photography-related prizes. You don't need to purchase a bundle to enter.
The supplied prize list includes Mylio Photos plans, PhotoWhoa memberships, Evoto AI credits and a surprise photography resource bundle. There are different prizes across the giveaway, rather than one winner receiving everything.
A MacBook Air and a gift card are also listed, but those have a different timeline: they are scheduled for shared draws in December, with entrants from this event and the May Photography Path to Mastery event.

What happens after the giveaway opens?
The next stage is the pre-order window and a free preview of a limited selection of resources. That gives you a chance to explore a little of what's on offer before deciding whether a bundle is right for you.
The preview isn't access to the entire collection. Check the page for the available selection and preview schedule.
For my Australian photography friends, these are the dates to remember. All Australian times below are Melbourne/Sydney, AEDT:
Giveaway opens - Sunday 4 October, 6 am
Pre-Orders and First Free Preview - 7 October, 6 am to 9 October, 6 am
Main event opens - Friday 9 October, 6 am
Second free preview - 11 October, 6 am to 12 October, 6 am
Main event advertised close - Wednesday 14 October, 6 am
The closing time above applies to the bundle sale. Check the giveaway page for its own entry deadline and draw dates.
My advice when you explore the bundle
Start with something you'd actually like to learn. Perhaps you want to feel more comfortable with your lighting, get more confident when editing, or try a different creative approach.
You don't need to tackle every resource. Look for something that suits where you are now, then make time to put it into practice. A tutorial is much more useful when it gets you trying something with your camera, rather than just taking up space in your downloads folder!
