More Than Just an Update, A Complete Reimagining of My Photography eBooks
For years I've been creating photography guides and companion notes for my workshops. They did exactly what they were supposed to do, helping photographers remember what they'd learned once they got home.
But over the past year I've found myself asking a simple question.
If someone had never attended one of my workshops, would these books still inspire them to pick up their camera?
The honest answer was... not quite.
So I made the decision to start again.
Not with new covers or a few extra pages, but with a complete rewrite from the ground up.
Every book has been redesigned, expanded and re-edited with one goal in mind, to create something I would genuinely be proud to leave sitting on my coffee table.
These aren't workshop notes anymore.
They're photography books.
Built for Learning, Not Just Reading
One thing I've learnt after years of teaching photographers is that people don't simply want camera settings.
They want confidence.
They want to understand why an image works, how light changes a scene, how to develop ideas, and how to see creatively.
That's exactly what these books are designed to do.
Each one is filled with practical advice, lighting diagrams, behind-the-scenes photographs, creative exercises, real-world examples and plenty of encouragement to get out and create.
Whether you're photographing people, flowers, food, still life or experimenting with flash and light painting, the goal is always the same...
To help you make photographs you're proud of.
There's Something for Almost Every Photographer
Over the past year I've expanded the collection to cover many of the subjects I teach most often.
You'll now find titles including:
The Art of Creative Portrait Photography
The Art of Still Life Photography
Understanding Light
Flash Photography Basics
The Magic of Macro
The Art of Light Painting
The Art of Food Photography
The Art of Cinematic Portrait Photography
Some are perfect if you're just starting out. Others take a much deeper dive into creative techniques and artistic storytelling.
No matter where you are on your photography journey, my hope is that you'll find ideas you can put into practice immediately.
Why I Wrote Them
Photography should be enjoyable.
It's easy to become overwhelmed by new gear, endless YouTube videos and conflicting advice online.
These books are my way of slowing everything down.
No complicated jargon.
No unnecessary technical rabbit holes.
Just practical, approachable guidance from someone who has spent years teaching photographers of every experience level.
If one idea from one chapter inspires you to head outside with your camera this weekend, then I've done my job.
Ready to Explore?
If you've been looking for fresh inspiration, or simply want to learn at your own pace, I'd love you to take a look through the collection.
Each ebook is available as an instant PDF download, so you can start reading straight away on your computer, tablet or phone.
