A beautiful location is wonderful, but when I’m scouting somewhere for a creative photoshoot or workshop, I’m looking for much more than a pretty backdrop. From light and variety to interesting little corners, practical considerations and those all-important creative possibilities, here’s what I look for when choosing a location, using the incredible Mont du Soleil as the perfect example.

Last week I held the 1920’s Great Gatsby inspired portrait workshop. We ended up moving from Moorabbin studio to the Narre Warren studio, but it’s all good, as we have all the goods at the home studio.
